June 15th--Day 3, Part 1--Cleveland

Today we traveled to Cleveland to visit Babyland General Hospital, where the Cabbage Patch Kids are born. I was not forgotten this time; in fact, I got to go inside the hospital while Anna and Fly-o sat in the car! Angel’s parents went with us. Ashlynn calls them Mimi and Papa. They took her to the CPK hospital twenty-something years ago when she was about Ashlynn’s age. It’s a pretty neat little place. We saw three CPK babies born while we were there. All girls, can you believe that? It was a little strange, seeing babies born from a head of cabbage. Here's pictures of the deliveries:

That's Nurse Becca and Doctor John with the first and second babies,

and Nurse Becca again with the third baby.

I couldn’t even watch the last time. There's something disturbing about dolls being pulled from a head of cabbage and grown people acting like doctors and nurses the whole time. The third baby was named after Ashlynn and another little girl named Jade. Ashlynn Jade. Sounds nice.

Here's a few more pictures from the CPK hospital:

Can you find me?

This is the baby (you're not allowed to call them
"dolls" at the CPK hospital) named after her.
